Research Facilities

KiOR’s technology has been tested and proven through its three main research units: 


 
  • The research and development lab, where KiOR initially validated its proprietary conversion process;
  • The pilot plant, which has seen thousands of hours of operation; and
  • The demonstration facility, which represents a 400 times scale up from the pilot, and has also amassed over thousands of hours of operation.  

The extensive development and data collected from the pilot and demonstration plants have allowed KiOR to exhibit the commercial readiness of its technology.
