KiOR’s gasoline and diesel blendstocks will become cost-competitive fuel options, without government subsidies. KiOR believes it is essential for any alternative fuel source looking to make a large-scale impact to produce its product without dependence on government support.

In addition, KiOR’s process and facility design provide the company significant cost advantages over other biofuel technologies, including:

• Lower capital costs for KiOR commercial facilities compared to other biofuel technologies;
• Lower operating costs due to the simplicity of KiOR’s process and the maturity of catalytic cracking technology;
• Lower and more stable feedstock pricing versus food-based biofuel feedstocks; and
• Lower operating risk and well known scale-up cost given the long track record of FCC.
